RE: Procoder "probs"

So i encoded using "4000 mb" at the bitrate calculator and the file is still 400-500 mb's too large... how can that be? I used m2v + wav output and the m2v is 3,57 gb and the wav 1,19.. so i have to use an even lower bitrate?? Thnx

RE: Procoder "probs"

you'd probably want to encode the wav to ac3, which will make the file roughly 1/8th of the PCM size. i think bb meant for you to use '4000mb' and include the audio size in that 4 gig. Enf...

Yeah i thought that too.... I think i got the problem... I'm using 2_Pass VBR, and the max bitrate won't go under 6000, so maybe that's why the dvd got too big... But i'll try the ac3 thing, thnx

You shouldn't use wave output, MP2 output will significantly reduce the size of the audio stream.

I know but that's not an option.. But one question, will the authoring program make the ac3/mp2 stream compatible for dvd? Thnx
