Hi, when i encode my avi to dvd using canopus procoder, i can't burn my dvd files, because nero says the video file is over 2gb and that's unsupported, how can that be, cause a dvd can handle 4,7 gb?? thnx

??? You must be setting up Nero wrong, when going to burn the files. Make sure it is selected to burn DVDs and not CDs (which is an easy mistake as it's not obvious how to switch in Nero). Also make sure you are burning just a data DVD, if you tell Nero you want to make a DVD-Video Disc then it won't let you put on MPEG files that are bigger than 1Gb. -Nic
jojo15, I guess you need to author first. Nero has simple SVCD authoring included, but not DVD authoring. So I suggest you author your MPEG file using IFOEdit, then burn with Nero as DVD-Video. bb
Ok, i don't know how to work with IFOEdit at all, but then i used TMPGEnc DVD Author.. Now the only problem is the size of my files (.m2v and .wav) is too large (6083 mb) how can i make them smaller? Thnx EDIT: Yes, i follow the IFOEdit tut here on doom9, but it was talking about .vobs and stuff, and these are from dvd's right, so i didn't know what to do with it.
How do i know the appropriate bitrate? With a calculator? Thnx EDIT: Ok, got the calculator off the main page, but how many mb's fit on a dvd (it works with mb and i don't know how to "convert" gb's to mb's) Thnx for all help!
