Waves Electric 200 - A Big Thumbs Up!

Waves Central is the software for installing and managing licenses. You can store the license locally on your HD or a USB stick or move it to their cloud. No Ilok.

I won't touch iLok. The Waves installs don't use or need it. I have all my Waves licenses on a regular USB stick transferred there via the Waves Central app which works well and has caused no issues here.

I only have/had the freebie version o f Lounge Lizard but subjectively, the waves one is a lot more playable. Also did a comparison with the EZKeys/AddictiveKeys takes on electric pianos and the E200 sounds excellent compared to anything else I own. Never tried the Scarbee stuff though. If I ever form a Supertramp or Commodores tribute act, I guess I will have to try it! :D

OK Honeymoon over. Using this as a VST plugin, it seems like it grinds reaper to a screeching halt for about a minute while it loads itself. Anyone else having the same issue? About to try it on S1 and Sonar... Interesting. Both S1 and Sonar loaded it a lot quicker after the usual initial re-scan. So I loaded Reaper up again & inserted E200... this time it loaded up in about the same time as in the other 2. Curious....

Yeah - I got that coupon too. NOTHING in the list of special I wanted to buy, apart from that electric 200 I already paid over $30 for..... Ah well.....
