Can somenoe check my VIN?

just curious to see the details of my 850. mainly looking to find out what year it was made as it says 98 in the logbook but i thought the 850 only ran to 97.

probably just registered late thats all, there is not a 1998 model 850. the cars year of registration does not necessarily indicate model year. if you want to send me your reg or vin i can confirm this anyway, though like i said there never was a 1998 model 850. edit - that is a good link above and will answer the op's question, though i can get a bit more info than what it shows on the vin plate, like the exact date it rolled out of the factory, and usually the date it was registered, which could help explain the difference in year.

thats what im after rufe. date from factory and reg date. see the car was purchased in southern ireland by the original owner then imported to the north and it says first declared new in 1998 and also imported in 1998 so im wondering if they only run the date from when its imported or what? also because of it being imported to the north it doesnt state trim level or anything just says volvo 850 and for model/type says not stated tho i was told its an 850 SE. ill post up the VIN this evening when i get back to the house. :thumbs_up:
