While tooling around in the MIDI editor I found the action "insert note at mouse cursor." I love it! But I don't see one for deleting a note under the mouse cursor, or even to select one, which I could make a custom action with. Am I missing anything? Thanks!

Right but what I discovered wih this action is that I really like pointing at the grid with one hand and hitting a key with the other to insert a note, it feels more natural to me like fretting a string with one hand and plucking with the other. If I could do the same but hit a different key to delete notes, instead of clicking with the same hand, I'd be such a happly little boy :)
There's no way to do that currently, AFAIK. You have to click the note you want to select, then consequently delete. Or just click to delete (there's a mouse modifier for that).
You can set Alt-click in MM to erase a note, it's not "delete note under mouse cursor", but close... :) (and consistent with other Alt-click deleting actions). >
And here you go: Turns out ReaScript's MIDI functions are confusing as shit, so I'll admit I mostly copy/pasted stuff from one of X-Raym's scripts and rewrote a couple of lines.
