HI, i'm newbie with Reaper and trying to found help for change volume in small part of track. I know that item volume handling but i don't mean whole track volume.. Can someone tell clearly what i have to do to change volume in different areas in track. Thanks!
You can right click a volume and I think you go to "item processing" then choose item volume. I might be wrong on the names but this brings up an envelope for the item for adjust it's level, the waveforms are even redrawn too to reflect it :)

You can also hover your mouse over the top edge of the item where it will be come an up and down double arrow, then drag down to lower volume, shift drag up to raise volume.
As suggested an envelope is a great way to do this. Click the Track Envelope button on the track header. If you use a volume envelope I prefer 'pre-fx' because you can see the wave form change with the adjustment. Another method is using the volume handle since you already know about them. You just need to split the item before and after the part you want to change. Click your cursor at the beginning and hit the s key, then do it again at the end. Now click inside of the new piece and lower your volume handle and only that part will be effected. You may want to overlap the ends a little bit to have a clean fade in/out.

I think we have a typical case of double usage of the term 'track' here. I believe powermic wants to change the volume of only a part of an item, which is why the item volume handle doesn't do the trick. Two solutions have already been mentioned, take volume envelope and track volume envelope. A third possibility is to cut the item left and right from the area you want changed and use the ordinary item volume handle. Personally, I'd probably use a track volume envelope. powermic, it will be easier for all if you use the term 'item' for those thingamajigs on the tracks that contain either audio or MIDI data. That's just how they are called in Reaperspeak. In other apps they are called regions, clips, sequences or whatever, but as they are entities on tracks, they are seldom called tracks themselves for obvious reasons. Helps avoiding confusion .
Thanks for everyone! Actually the big hit for me was that item split. That thing i didn't know. So I have to split and make that change after that. I'm not familiar with that track envelope yet(or many other things...) but hope I will be :) And Gofer I try to learn "Reaperspeak" :=) It was very nice to see that here can get help, even if you are "Reaperdummy" !
