Audio with Timecode export to Final Cut Pro OMF??

I need to export audio (5.1) with timecode to Final Cut Pro. I purchased Digitranslator so that I can export an OMF, but am now finding that Final Cut Pro doesn't seem to be able to import OMF files. Anyone have an answer? Am I missing something in Final Cut? I will appreciate any help!

Export your audio from Pro Tools as a single file for each track with a two beep, then import those files into Final Cut Pro and spot them to the timeline.

AFAIK, FCP is based on Quicktime, and thus can't handle 5.1 audio (yet. Rumor has it that the next version of QT will handle multi-channel). Why do you need to go back to FCP? If it's for DVD, you could export 6 AIFF files , and then send them to be encoded via Dolby Digital or DTS, or you could do layback to a tape format (al la DA-88) that can handle at least 6 tracks. Michael, I just now noticed your sig. I lived in B-Town from '92 to '97, cutting my teeth in public access (back when it was still called BCAT). I visited recently and was dismayed to see that the Von Lee was closed (I used to be a projectionist for Kerasotes), as well as the fact that they built a damned Urban Outfitters where the Spaceport used to be.
